Everything's Gone Vintage
"Nice to hear a band being exactly who they want to be and not chasing trends, or pretending to be something they are not. Even if their sound is unashamedly a sound of yesterday. A great start to their come-back and hopefully a lot more to come." -
Simon Redley, Music Republic Magazine
"Formed way back in 1983, this re-formation of the Lancashire rhythm and blues band sees them releasing their first material since 1998 and still hanging on to three original members. Their well-produced ten-track album is a fair reflection of such live blues played then and played now. Big guitar tracks and power vocals are at the heart of 'River Blindness', 'Hurricane Sister' and across the album. Deliberately aiming at the retro sound of their origins makes it all a nice fit for those who know the band and have a need to retain such fond and sometimes pink-clouded memories. Curiosity will also be a part of the attraction if only to find out about the missing apostrophe in the album's title, or the affecting sleeve artwork that mixes winos with exotic nudes and ginger cats."
